Firstly, MERRY Christmas to you!!
This is week 3 class update; Our theme: Jesus is Born.
Corresponding scriptures are Luke/路加福音 1:26 to 38, 2:1-20
[NOTE: this link is helpful to look up verses online, http://www.glorypress.com/Devotional/Bible.asp ]
To start it off: a short prayer
Then we review what we taught in the past weeks - where the preparation of John, the Baptist, to prepare the way before Jesus.
And we have a new (girl) student - Sidney. A brief intro session followed by welcome session.
Next, Scripture time:
We go through the scripture verses...
Jesus shall be called:
1) the Son of the Most High 2) the Son of God 3) King of Kings
and the list goes on and on...
Video time:
A short video clip was shown to portrait the account of "路加福音 1:26 to 38".
This video is featured with "Sand Drawing", which is a great art rendering on the story.
During the "Sand drawing" presentation, a narrative took us through the 路加福音 account.
Hands-on activities: Bring the story to life!!!
As we all know it, teaching by lecture may impress 30% of the memory, while the hands-on activity by doing project increases the impression by 80% and more.
Two teams (Baba-la-Baba and Fire Eagle) have each poster board with a bunch of material (newspaper, magazine, Ad. papers, etc) for them to cut-n-paste any figure or pictures, or words to bring the Bible story to life.
Each team member has to participate in the project. :)
At the end, each student has to say a few lines when the team is to present their final work.
Here is a few activity photo when the project is in progress ....
Matter of fact, when boys and girls work together on actual "story", you notice that they actually discuss among themselves and tried to brainstorm what is the best way to bring the story line to life!!
Here is a video captured during the project working time...

OK - lunch time - and it's Pizza!!
KLUP!
