WOW week 1, G4/G5 Class 12/4/2011

Howdy parents,

Today marks the first week of G4/G5 Class in Q4/2011 - WOW week 1, 12/4/2011

Beginning session:
In the beginning, we attended PCAC Children's Christmas carol (聖誕節目) program in the sanctuary, since some of the G4/G5 students also are in the Choir; It is a preview of our Children Christmas music program.

On 12/10 (Sat.), 教會將舉辦第三屆兒童聖誕音樂會;

Firstly, a "rules" session:
1) Respect each other
2) Sit properly
3) Verse memorization
4) Pay attention & participation


Today's class, whose main theme is about John, the Baptist who was sent by God to prepare people's heart or prepare the way beofre Jesus Christ.

Verses: Mark 1:1-8
1:1 : 神的兒子、耶穌基督福音的起頭、
John preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins (Sin + Repentance :: 傳悔改的洗禮、使罪得赦) We spent a few minutes to delve into meaning of Sin and Repentance;

Here I quote:
"What Repentance Includes
Therefore, to repent is a change of mind about sin and about God, which results in turning from sin to God. And what a turning it is! Repentance affects the whole life of a sinner.

A video clip was played to portrait the Mark 1:1-8 verses; Mainly, it is to re-enforce the role of John and his mission to prepare the way Jesus;

In a way, it is to make room for Jesus.

::Object Lession::

As we talked about "Clean out our hearts",
it is essential to differentiate the "right" tool; You can clean your hearts
with external things, such as "turtle wax". :) But rather, by repenting and asking God for forgiveness...
