It's 2nd week - whose theme is John 1:1 to 14. which brings out the message: God dwells with us.
Mainly, the Word of God made Flesh and becomes Jesus.
約翰福音 1:14 [道成了肉身、住在我們中間、充充滿滿的有恩典有真理。我們也見過他的榮光、正是父獨生子的榮光。 ]
To Start Off:
Teacher gets to act out a "word" , say "HAPPY"; And the students are trying to guess what that word is.
As you can imagine, some of the guesses are funny - such as "Crazy", or "Exciting", since teacher was acting in "happy mood".
Verse time:
After going through the verses, each student gets an opportunity to work on a hands-on activity;
We divided the class into two teams:
Team A: whose name is "BaBa-la-Baba" (students came up the name :))
Team B: whose name is "Fire Eagle" (ever wonder how they came up with the creative name!)

Activity: It's about de-puzzle and see the full/original picture!
Each team gets an envelop in which it contains paper pieces - they are to re-construct the puzzle pieces...
to restore the full picture.
Two pictures are relating to the class material we have shared so far. Sometimes we don't fully grasp the meaning of "Word Made Flesh" - hope that this puzzle game helps us to relate to seeing full picture - God's plan for salvation via Jesus.

As we know the WORD is Jesus - there are many other names used in the Bible to call God/or Jesus. Next, we present a video clip.

The game design is to let two teams to race to find the word (written in a pre-folded piece of paper) from the 16x16 lattice LETTER matrix.

The game design is to let two teams to race to find the word (written in a pre-folded piece of paper) from the 16x16 lattice LETTER matrix.
We have more than 10 papers to choose - each paper is pre-folder with a written "WORD". Each team is to locate the "WORD" from the matrix. (See the picture on the left)
As you can imagine, the competition heats up fairly quickly as boys and girls are racing to finish the word hunt. We have words chosen from John 1:1 to 14 verses.
